Amazon Mom Event

by Emily on March 29, 2011

Thanks to a nudge from Andrea, I was pleased that Pip and I could attend a Seattle local gem a couple weeks ago- Amazon Mom Event!  The Seattle forecast for snow throughout the day probably deterred a few from attending but I enjoyed that it was quiet and you weren’t pushing elbows just to see the vendors tables.  At tops about 10-15 vendors had small tables highlighting their products that they sell on Amazon and Amazon Fresh.

Amazon Mom is a free membership that is targeted towards parents to ease the transition through those busy baby/toddler times.  Why join?  Well, for me it was the bargain inside of me saying 30% off diapers/wipes is a good deal!  They also have a subscription based service that you can select your next order/delivery date for products like diapers.

I tend to be someone that LOVES to go to stores to shop for gifts so that I can feel, smell, etc, but there have been times when I’m frustrated that my darling won’t ride well in the car seat to let Mommy indulge in “real life” shopping.  Amazon Fresh is a good reminder to me that you can do a grocery (+ so much more) order and have it sent to your home.  I guess I also feel better about the fact that the delivery truck is already in my neighborhood so I’m saving the trip in my own car.  For me it was a good reminder to make life easier on occasion by purchasing this way.

Vendors at the show of interest to me: BOB strollers, Boon, Sunshine Kids, JuJuBe, Cupcake Royale, DrySoda Co, Mrs. Meyers, Halo Sleep Sacks, Baby Chef Ultimate Baby Food Maker

I admit-LOVED the cupcakes!  We love our BOB so it was great to see the newest model with great changes made to it.  Had a cucumber soda which was so refreshing & coveted the Mrs. Meyers cleaning sample goods!  It was great to see the famous Jennifer Goldman Carden from The Toddler Cafe whipping up some magical food for the little ones too!  Would love to get her book to try more great recipes.

Great afternoon & lots of babies present!
