Blog Fav: DiY Baby Socks

by Andrea on April 22, 2011

Perhaps it’s because these baby socks look like little man socks or because it’s a DiY project that only takes 60 seconds to make, but I can’t get enough of them.  I love this little project not only because its quick and handmade, but also because it’s reusing materials and is a creative baby gift.

Brian has a pair of green polka dot socks, and now all I can think about is cutting them up and making socks for little Mo. The sock pattern would look incredibly cute for this project, and I would love to see Mo in his mini-me version of Brian’s socks.  The only hitch is that Brian still uses them, and I think he really likes them.  It seems a little silly to cut up a perfectly good pair of socks, but they would be so cute….

Thinking about upcoming Father’s Day, this could also make for a darling Father’s Day gift if you picked up two sets of matching socks.  One set for dad and one for baby.  It would also make an unexpected and quirky gift for grandpa.  Alrighty, I think it’s time to rummage through Brian’s sock drawer.
