Bits & Bobs We ♥: Ravelry

by Emily on July 25, 2011

I mentioned before that I enjoy knitting in my free time and just wanted to get the word out about one of my favorite ♥’s!  Ravelry is awesome!  Of course I have knitting books & patterns stacked in my bookshelf but I guess we’re in an age that it’s really helpful to type “baby hat” into a search engine and come up with a free pattern selection. Ravelry is just that!

Ravelry is an online community that is free to join.  Not only is it a social network for exchanging ideas, patterns, yarn but you can also search thousands of patterns (some free…some not)!  The other thing that I find helpful about it is that you can save patterns that you like.  I have a great “project” area going with ideas for someday!

Just last week, I wanted to quickly whip out a baby hat for new Baby O and came up with the darling berry hats for babies.  So….after a quick 2 hours of TV watching after Pip was fast asleep, I ended up with this based purely on a quick search on Ravelry.  I think it turned out great!

Check it out!
