Blog Fav: Chalkboard Labels for Parties

by Andrea on November 25, 2011

Welcome holiday season, and welcome party season!  Today’s blog fav helps get us all ready for our upcoming dinners and gatherings. Whether you are hosting a sit down dinner and need place cards, or you are putting together a buffet and need dish labels, this little project will serve you well!

Dear Martha has added chalkboard paint to her line of crafts supplies.  What I particularly love about this is the small size of the container.  Especially for a little project like this, you don’t need to purchase, and then store, a big (pricey) can of chalkboard paint.  Instead, pick up one of these in any of the four colors below:

Then decide what you want to paint.  The Crafts Dept. used a variety of cheap wood craft pieces.  But really, you can use any little thing for a label or place card (ornaments, corks, wooden spools, mini Altoid tins, etc.):

Isn’t this so easy and so clever?  Happy long weekend!
