Bits & Bobs We ♥: Prosciutto Chips

by Andrea on February 6, 2012

Yes, you heard correctly. I said prosciutto chips!  The other day I was washing the dishes, and Miss Giada was on the Food Network talking about an asparagus salad.  I was sort of listening, but not really because I focused on the dishes.  And then she went and said prosciutto chips!  Hel-lo!

I was riveted for the rest of the episode and even thought the asparagus salad sounded good, but not nearly as yummy as the prosciutto chips!  If the name doesn’t have you convinced, just wait until you find out how to make them in two steps.

First, lay out your thinly sliced prosciutto on a baking sheet.

Then pop them in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.  That’s it!  Yes, putting them in the oven is one of the two steps that I mentioned above.  (!!!)

Take them out of the oven, let them sit a little, and then break the slices into chips.  DONE!

I’ve taken to just eating them straight from the bowl, sprinkling them over salads, and adding them to baked potatoes.  Next up, I plan on adding them to ice cream.  Yum!
